Terry Gilliam Working With Albarn's Gorillaz? Apparently So ...

gorillaz.jpgThere are literally no further details bu Damon Albarn is quoted in the current issue of Uncut as saying that Terry Gilliam is on board for an upcoming Gorillaz film project. Which begs the obvious question: will Terry get to animate himself?

I don't really see where TG fits into this sort of project, but it's always nice to see him working and it couldn't possibly be worse than BROTHERS GRIMM.

What they might mean is another series of music videos for an upcoming album or single. It is possible we're talking about an actual movie, but I somehow doubt it. If it was a music video, Gilliam could easily be a director for hire on such a thing... His experience in animation is a bit dated, but he obviously knows the fundamentals of the craft, and has the imagination to take care of the rest.
