The official website for Tadakazu Takahashi's The Bicycle Thief Was Bad (Nippon no jitensha dorobô) is online, and on that site are two trailers for the movie. (Note: The voice-overs in the two trailers for the movie refer to it as "Nippon...", not "Nihon...".)
The screenplay for The Bicycle Thief Was Bad was written by Mai Sawaki. The movie stars Tetta Sugimoto, Yumiko Fujita, Shiho Takano (7th from the bottom), Kumiko Itô, Yasuhiro Suzu, Hazuki Kôzu (Kôdu Haduki), Tomoyo Harada, and Yoshio Harada.
The Bicycle Thief Was Bad is scheduled to be screened at the 19th Tokyo International Film Festival (Dai-19-kai Tôkyô Kokusai Eigasai) - "TIFF" for short - on October 22nd and 25th. Cinema Angelica (Shinema Angerika) is scheduled to release it theatrically in Japan on December 1st.
