King Naresuan (ตำนานสมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช) has been under our radar since August of last year and at long last, a trailer is now online at the official site. With the largest budget for a Thai film ever as well as having the blessing from the royal Thai family, I guess you can say its the most anticipated film of 2006 in that country.
The story is based on Thai history of King Naresuan the Great who liberated the Siamese from Burmese control during 1590-1605 period. To learn more on the history behind the man, check out the Wikipedia link here.
The Thailand theatrical release date is on December 21st.
