Thai Reporter is Ready to Service.

(Posted In Asia Asia )

First of all I must say thank you to Todd for giving me this opportunity. I’ll do my best!

Right now I’m gathering information for my writing. The legendary “X” who create a wonderful Korean Film Databank is my Idol, I wish I could write half as good as him.

I will post my first news in few days. If you have ANY question on Thai film, please send your question to me at verybadpig@hotmail.com. I’ll try to find the answer for you.

Hello Toffy. First question I have would be for you to tell us all how large and production Thailands film industry is - there doesn't seem to be many films, yet we have a little knowledge of its work, so I am wondering if a nice background piece would work wonders?

Great to have a regular correspondent for the Thai movie scene.Thailand's fantastical film output of late has been very enjoyable. Lots of CGI but done in that big Fun hocky fashion that is very enjoyable for fans of 'B' movie entertainment. Vengeance is a jungle monster thriller with a roundhouse crowd pleasing finale. Outlandish and politically incorrect endulgences Sars Wars & Brotherhood Seven. Genuine horror classics such as Nang Nak & Shutter. The eye salivating dreaminess of many a Pang Brothers production and of course the Action packed magnificence of those Tony Jaa bone crunchers.
There's so much to look forward to , with the likes of Big snake badass flick Boa hopefully getting an English language subtitled release soon , and if the guys responsible for making Garuda could do more of the same I'd be very happy.
Looking forward to movie news from Thailand right here at Twitch central from you in the future.

Hey Toffy. Glad to see a fresh face around here. Definitely looking forward to upcoming news on Thai films, especially since the output always seems so small.

Cheers!

Believe or not. Thailand has around 10 production studio which already release more than 30 films this year. But you guy may know only Sahamongkol Film, Fivestar Production, GTH and RS Films cause there films are available worldwide. Many others produced smaller film which doesn't seem to caught much world attention, though some of their films are very big hit in Thailand. I will write about 2006 Thai films soon.

What's up Toffy. It's cool to have you around. I, and others, I'm sure, are looking forward to some of the stuff you've got coming up.
