Isn't this a French movie where the original audio was in French? Is this another movie that will have the same fate as the Danish film Strings, where everybody just accepts the English dub, and the original version might never be released subtitled?

specs list english subtitles.

Yes, but no mention of French audio. The English subs could just be for HoH or something.

The incredibly large production team made the movie with english as the primary spoken language to get the largest world-wide audience for such a massive undertaking (7 years), they then dubbed it back into french for the french audience. I asked that very same question personally to director Christian Volckman.

It's a shame they invested so much in the technical aspects of this film and so little in the narrative. This could've been something very special. I don't think it merits more than a single viewing.
