Keisarin Salaisuus Website And Trailer: Finland's First Ever CG Animated Feature

(Posted In Animation Comedy Continental Europe and Russia Film News Trailer Alert )

keisarinsalaisuus.jpgThe first ever computer animated feature film from Finland, Keisarin Salaisuus is apparently based on a popular local political satire television show with each of the major characters based on prominent politicians. But it doesn't look like any politics I've ever seen ... old main chained to ferris wheels, rampaging two headed robotic birds, and right wingers parading about in thinly disguised SS uniforms ...

Thanks to Timo for the pointer.

I was looking at this during class and this foreign exhange student from Finland said that this was a very popular show over there. She pointed out that the woman sniffing the flowers in the beginning of the trailer is based on their president.

Based on some Finnish reviews I've read, though, the movie has been pretty thouroughly expunged of any real political satire. What remains is pretty mediocre CGI play on stereotypes.

Ilkka is right. The show is something to check instead of this. However, we gotta start somewhere.
