The original Turkish Star Wars is absolutely legendary in cult film circles and I'm still a little shocked that they've gone and made a sequel to it after all these years, but lo! There's a new trailer and this one includes actual footage. Alas, it isn't Turkish Empire Strikes Back - the title actually translates to The Son of the Man who Saved the World - but it certainly looks camp enough for a troop or two of Boy Scouts ...

No sequel to GORA?
Ha ha. I can't bellieve that they got Cuneyt Arkin again for his old role. Looks like it's early thanksgiving cause we are having turkey for dinner, in every sense of the word.
Haven't heard anything about a GORA sequel, Bee, though I'd certainly be game for one.
Turkish info is frustratingly difficult to come by ... I have a couple Turkish trailer sites that I hit daily but they pretty much cover Hollywood stuff to the exclusion of everything else, even when there are new Turkish titles coming ...
Man, I was hoping this was going to be GORA 2 as well. Still I noticed this film is sponsored by PHILIPS - I wonder what they donated - shavers?
Oh my God! You guys know about GORA? HAhahahaaaa this is hillarious. Please tell me if want more info. But there will not be a sequel to it soon since the lead actor is currently filming another film which will probably be a contemporary comedy.
This guy is the most famous stand up actor in Turkey.
Returning back to our subject, this film is indeed the sequel to Turkish Star Wars (or as we know it "The Man Who Saved the Earth" - which is THE cult film among so bad it's good films. Cuneyt Arkın is in the same role and his son is acted by Mehmet Ali Erbil, well know showmen and actor. This is also a comedy spoof film but they are very serious about the CGI. I certainly hope that it will be better than GORA. I can't believe you guys know this film, it is so hard for a non Turk to understand since it is filled with jokes on language play and Turkish entertainment and daily life references.
Anyway, when this film comes to theaters I'll watch it and let you guys know what I think.
