Brand upon the Brain! (More Images and Info on TIFF screening)

As the TIFF approaches, one of the most anticipated screenings is the World Premiere of Guy Maddin's Brand Upon the Brain! The eccentric canadian auteur has finally gone and made a completely silent feature, a semi-autobiographical film, as a loose follow-up to his art-installation turned feature "Cowards Bend the Knee" (review here). When Brand Upon the Brain! screens (one time only) at the beautiful Elgin Theatre it will have a live orchestra, a vocalist, two foley artists and a narrator. This is a truly unique festival event. Seriously. David Poland, the editor of Movie City News, has posted the press kit from the film in .pdf format (here. right-click, save as), and it contains some nice high resolution stills therein. Also, the kit indicates that Maddin's "Winnepeg," a feature documentary is now in post-production.
