Gosh. Almost a year ago, filmmaker Joel Miller sent us news that his debut film The Still Life was going to make an appearance at Sundance. We lost touch with him afterwards but I got an e-mail from him letting us know that his film The Still Life will be having its premiere at the Chinese Mann Theatre on October 7th. That theatre is such an icon for western cinema. How exciting it must be to have your film shown there. And looking through the film's site The Still Life is playing a slew of festivals this fall. Nice.
And to sweeten the deal Joel has invited anyone from press sources to attend the screening GRATUIS [free]. No word on public access but if we find out anything you'll be the second ones to know.

***UPDATE*** Joel is anything if not prompt to respond to my inquiry. Here's word on how you, the general public, may see his film if you're in the Hollywood area in October...
The film will be showing at the FAIF Film Festival in Hollywood, CA on Oct. 7th. The screening is at 9:00PM and the tickets are $11 each. Most of the cast and musicians from the film will be there and I will doing a questions and answers session after the film along with some of the cast and musicians.
