Spoon!

I have a stack of the original black and white Tick comic books sitting on my coffee table as I type this. Immediately beneath those are my copies of the Paul the Samurai, Chainsaw Vigilante and Man Eating Cow spin offs. Good friends in high school were members of M.O.A.V. - the Mystic Order of Arachnid Vigilance. And I still haven't forgiven Fox for cancelling the live action version. Yes, I am a fan of Ben Edlund's strange blue creation and I am a happy fan, because on August 29th I shall own season one of the animated series. Life is good.

I'm with you ALL the way on this one. But I have to admit, as a huuuge fan of all incarnations of the Tick, the live action show was a tad offbeat to be accepted by a mainstream Fox audience. I had a VHS tape recording of all the Tick live action episodes, and then my bro taped over them in the middle with an episode of 24, never apologized....

YES!!!!!! Doing the happy dance straight up thru release! This should've been put out before the live action show. It's superior IMHO.

Good to know I'm not the only one with a MOAV card gathering dust somewhere. It's also nice knowing that it's only a short time until I can finally throw out those self-burned crappy CD-Rs of the series. Now if only I could find the sketch Ben Edlund did for me back in the day, it would be a Tick trifecta
