Ready for a Head Trauma next week?

(Posted In Cult Film News Horror USA and Canada )

headtrauma.jpgTodd first wrote about Head Trauma about six months ago. When I visited the Los Angeles Film Festival at the end of June, I missed both screenings, but heard very good things about it from another writer. Here's the capsule description by Mark Olson from the festival site:

"Seriously creepy and deeply unnerving, Head Trauma explores the uneasy difference between being psychotic and paranoid and actually having someone — or something — out to get you. When drifter George Walker returns to his deceased grandmother’s abandoned house, he must not only face down unwelcoming neighbors, but something far worse, something in the basement, something all the more terrifying because it knows George’s deepest secret. Transposing much of the spooky imagery from the recent Japanese horror explosion onto American small-town life, this is an unsettling slice of indie horror."

HEAD TRAUMA is getting a release in selected cities across the US starting next week. Filmmaker Lance Weiler is a one-man bandwagon for the film; among other things, according to an e-mail sent to his mailing list, he'll "be doing a series of mini audio podcasts and taking a bunch of stills." Here are the links to that, and to the super-cool official web site, where you can be properly traumatized. (Venues and dates after the jump.)
