A Poster and Trailer For Herman Yau's On The Edge

(Posted In Action Asia Film News Thriller Trailer Alert )

ontheedge_web.jpgIf you'd asked even a year ago I would have still likely said that Hong Kong film was in the decline but the past year has seen a major turn around, with a whole lot of gritty crime dramas and action flicks with nary a frisky pop star to be found. Yau's picture stars Nick Cheung as a cop trying to reintigrate to daily life after spending eight years on a deep cover assignment and faring, shall we say, less than well. It's a great premise for a film and based on the trailer it looks as though they've pulled it off in fine style ...

Yau is pretty inconsistent as a director. Hope this one turns out well.
