Update on Yukihiko Tsutsumi's TAITEI NO KEN, starring Hiroshi Abe, Kyôko Hasegawa, Kankurô Kudô, Meisa Kuroki, Riki Takeuchi, Ken'ichi Endô, Kôji Ôkura, Naomasa Musaka, and Aya Sugimoto

The official website for Yukihiko Tsutsumi's Taitei no ken is now functional.

As was reported here on Twitch back on January 15th, Taitei no ken is based on the eponymous serialized story by Baku Yumemakura. The movie's characters were designed by Yoshitaka Amano.

Taitei no ken stars (listed order corresponds to website order) Hiroshi Abe, Kyôko Hasegawa, Kankurô Kudô (second from the top), Meisa Kuroki, Riki Takeuchi, Ken'ichi Endô, Kôji Ôkura, Naomasa Musaka, and Aya Sugimoto.

Toei Company Ltd. (Tôei K.K.) plans to release Taitei no ken theatrically in Japan in the spring of next year.

Sugimoto is also in Takeshi Furusawa's Ghost Train (Otoshimono) - a.k.a. "Sharyô" (working title) - which Shochiku Co. Ltd. (Shôchiku K.K.) plans to release theatrically in Japan in September. She previously starred in such movies as Hajime Hashimoto's Yakuza Wives: Burning Desire (Gokudô no onna-tachi: jôen), Takashi Ishii's Flower and Snake 2: Paris/Shizuko (Hana to hebi 2: Pari/Shizuko), and Ishii's Flower and Snake (Hana to hebi).
