With the North American release of District B13 - known everywhere else as Banlieue 13 - coming this Friday the good people at Magnolia Pictures have offered us a series of five clips from the film and some free swag to give away. We'll be posting a new clip every day this week, and each will be available for just one day, so keep checking back. As for the swag we have two copies of Magnolia's DVD release of Ong Bak and two District B13 posters to give away. Email me here to throw your name into that hat for those.

the movie was pretty badass. Great stuntchoreography, maybe story wise it lacked a few things.
I saw this yesterday by means of the French DVD. It's pretty good. The editing was just a tad too frenzied for me, and I wish they would've made it a bit longer (maybe with a more climactic ending?)
Entertaining for sure, though.
Looks like TIME liked it - - TIME Magazine - “Let’s put the matter simply: ‘DB13’ makes everything Hollywood has done lately in the action genre look clumsy, dull and stale. Simple breathless stylishness, superb acting, extraordinarily graceful. The whole damned thing is a set piece. This is guaranteed: You will not be able to take your eyes off the screen.” Richard Schinckel
Youtube has a load of clips from the film, well, it has a lot of clips of the ACTION sequences which is what most people are wanting to see.
Just search for Banlieue 13.
I watched the French dvd a few days ago and I promise this movie is worth every moment of your time. It gets you pumped up and makes you want to run on rooftops with crazy hoodlums chasing you. It's a very entertaining movie and it's great fun!! Watch it!
Oh, acting is laughably bad at most times, even from the leads...but damn if the movie isn't a ball of fun. Harmless way to spend 75 minutes, and certainly a great demo for Parkour
I'm with you fellas... Caught this gem at the Toronto Film Fest last year: no oscars coming for D13's acting or script anytime soon, but the film ROCKS on every other level. I'm just wondering if the distribs are going out on a limb here... just checked the papers, in Toronto D13 is opening WIDE, on just about every screen going. For a subtitled movie that's ballsy. Let's see if they can get the 'kidz' to watch a foreign movie, based on its kick-ass action alone. Then we can get some more wide releases of other kick-ass foreign films!
