Prachya Pinkaew's Got Power Kids!

powerkidssmall.jpgAnother trio of Cannes sales flyers today, this time starting off with the Prachya Pinkaew produced kiddie flick Power Kids ...

My assumption is that when Pinkaew mentioned work on a children's film when explaining why he would not be directing Ong Bak 2 this is the film he was talking about, a children's film that features four your muay thai fighters fighting off terrorists in a hospital. A kiddie muay thai version of Hard Boiled? Zowie. My boy's brain melts over the likes of Spy Kids, so I can only imagine what'll happen when I show him this ...

i saw the promo for it in cannes and there is lots of mega violent elbows and knees to heads! seemed a little too intense for kids on western shores, but hey, they all play grand theft auto, so who am I to say...
