There's a trailer for Sergio Esquenazi's English-language Argentine horror-thriller Dead Line (Interference) - a.k.a. "Interferencia" - on the website of production company C&K Films. The Asylum released the movie on DVD in the U.S. on May 2nd. (Note: "Dead Line" is the title of the U.S. DVD release of the movie in question, "Interference" was its original title, and "Interferencia" is its Spanish-language title.)
The screenplay for Dead Line was written by Esquenazi. The movie apparently stars Andres Bagg as Martin Sanders, Virginia Lustig as Laura Novorsky, Oliver Kolker as Aaron Mendel, Chris Longo as Leo, Alejandra Lapola as Anne, Martín Capuccio as Alex Vinelli, George Rodart as the executive, Julio Luparello as the beggar, Hugo Halbrich as Detective Delias, Brent Garlock as the official, Ian Duddy as Detective Miles, Jackie Bousquet as Diana Levita, Carolina Alfonsín as the voice of Melody, Veronica Taylor as Candy, Natalia Santiago as Melody, and Jorge Sabaté as Mr. Klein.
Here's a synopsis for Dead Line from The Asylum's website: "Alone and desolate, Martin Sanders is a recluse whose only [source] of entertainment comes from eavesdropping on the conversations of strangers. Slowly it becomes clear that he is not simply overhearing the passions of innocents... but the trappings of a serial killer... one that lives in his building and knows Martin has been listening. Now Martin has to find the identity of the killer before he finds his next victim. It is a vicious game of cat and mouse... where no one is above suspicion, there is no one that can be trusted... and the man he is chasing just might be chasing him."

This is a cool and wicked movie. I've seen this horror flick spontaneously with a friend. Is scary and intense. This movie was a real surprise for me as I had low expectations. Has a plot that has you thinking throughout and probably for a while. This film has just the right amount of tension to keep the viewer gripped from beginning to end. I liked the ending as they leave it wide open and I hope they do a follow up.
I was looking last night in my video shop and found this and thought… hmmm the story line looks good...
We enter the world of Martin Sanders (Andres Bagg) I'm sure almost everyone at some point has had some neighbor who was a bit strange and hostile. Well… poor Martin, he has a neighbor of whom only has been able to hear his voice. And now, this mysterious neighbor walks in the city killing women. The film grab me from minute one, with its raw look and cool atmosphere. At the end I realized how much tension had in my body. Good movie!
My boyfriend rented this movie. I thought that it would be another stupid film of some guy with a mask chasing young girls with no clothes. I was completely wrong. Dead Line is a obscure, small and very low budget film. There are not gory scenes. If you like gore, this is not your movie but it is pretty scary. Be warned.
