Son Ye-Jin Cast in Lee Sung-Gang's New Film

아치와 씨팍 (Aachi & Ssipak) was just the beginning, casting familiar faces like Hyun Young, Ryu Seung-Beom and Im Chang-Jung, but Chungmuro is clearly starting to understand that, if they want Animation to succeed, they need top voice talent too. One of the most interesting projects of recent memory is Lee Sung-Gang's 천년여우 여우비 (Cobby The Fox), his first Animation project after the (critical) success of 마리 이야기 (My Beautiful Girl, Mari) and the still unreleased live action 살결 (Texture of Skin).

The film is part of the 2006 SICAF which starts today until the 28th, and tells the story of a 10 year old fox wanting to become human, role which will be voiced by Son Ye-Jin, whose latest Drama -- the excellent 연애시대 (Alone in Love) -- just concluded on SBS. Still no word on a reliable release date, but it should be this Summer. [MSN News]
