Svankmajer's Sileni Gets A Subtitled DVD!
(Posted In Continental Europe and Russia DVD News Sci-Fi / Fantasy Trailer Alert )
It hardly made a dent on the international festival circuit but Jan Svankmajer's latest, Sileni, could still be coming to a screen near you - very near, in fact - thanks to an English subtitled DVD release. The tongues! The tongues!

It is also worth haveing a look around YouTube if you have a hankering for look at some Svankmajer, odds and ends tucked away in there. Same goes for Stan Brakhage if you are so inclined (Although Criterion has a disc out dedicated to the latter).

Very much looking forward to this. I'm a huge Svankmajer fan, though I didn't care much for LITTLE OTIK. FAUST and ALICE were masterpieces, though. And this being based on the work of Poe...well...that's says it all. Any specific dates as to when it'll be released on DVD?

I just wanted to give you guys a very down-low, heads up that we are indeed working on a US DVD for Lunacy, which, while we do not have an official releae date set, should be available 1st Quarter 2007. Good news for everyone without a region free player!
