주몽 (Jumong) Trailer Released

Looks very nice indeed. I like their decision to include a few seconds of the director and cameraman shooting the action, I've often wondered why trailers don't do this more often...

I watched the pre-first show 1 hour "Special" and came away with a bit underwhelmed. Maybe it was the way they shot the "Special" but the action scene were not as impressive as I thought they would be. I have to admit to skipping through it a bit so I didn't listen to the people's comments much; maybe it the image of Song Il Guk acting like a coward doesn't jive with my previous viewing of him. I'll still give it a chance, though. We'll see how the real show is. I'm trusting you, X!

Nah, it's not me you can trust... it's Choi Wan-Gyu and MBC.

I don't care what people say, MBC's still the best channel in Korea. For Dramas, hell for just about everything. They have the best Art Direction team in Korea, top notch veterans under contract, and tend not to stoop to SBS' levels. Last year's best Dramas were from KBS and even 1 from SBS, but I trust MBC now even more. Especially for Historical Dramas.

I mean... Shin Don! Haven't had so much fun watching a 사극 since... well, since Choi Wan-Gyu wrote his last one.

Action did indeed look a notch below 이순신 and 해신, but it's the storyline and the acting I'm interested in.

Completely unrelated note, just took a look at the Press Screening Interview (added to the Hub) and... does Oh Yeon-Soo EVER age? Man, she's hotter now than in her 20s.

I just watched the latest trailer (the 4th, and different from the 1 that X provided here on this page), and unlike the previous trailers/previews, other scenes were shown, which piqued my interest even more.

For me,Choi Wan Gyoo is the best writer in Korea, and the best writer in my heart. Heo Joon is the best drama I have seen. Sang Do was also very good.

Jeon Kwang Ryeol is my favourite actor. Oh Yeon Soo is good.

So I must watch this drama, although I don't really like the leading actors.

I'm looking forward to this drama too since I just started watching and appreciating Historical Dramas (Dae Jang Geum, Emperor of the Sea)...I'm really hoping that Song Il-gook will do great in his first lead role in a historical drama. All of the casts are great and I'm watching this drama because of Song Il-gook and Oh Yeon-soo :)

Well, X, I just watched the first episode of Jumong and ... WOW. It is literally smoking fire and belching lava. The writing is amazing, actors are peerless and art direction breathtaking. I'm actually wondering if Song Il Guk and Han Hye Jin is going to be up to the par with the main actors and actress we've seen in episode one. I have rarely been so impressed with the first episode of any show! I can just tell that it's just going build more and more momentum from here. It would be a shame if this show doesn't get ratings in the 40% range soon. Everyone must watch this show!!!

Choi Wan-Gyu strikes again, then. I mean... I was disappointed Master Choi wasted his time with stuff like 올인 the last few years (as good as that is, at least the first 18-20 eps), but when it comes to 사극... there's no one who can beat him. I read Hur Joon-Ho brought everyone to school and then some in this baby...

First ep scored a 16.3%. Nothing incredible, but it's a good start. Unless the new Monday Dramas starting soon (Mr. Goodbye and 101st Proposal) start doing really well, it should go around 서동요's numbers.

Watched the 연개소문 trailer and.... hmmm. Looks like bad Lee Hwan-Kyung more than good Lee Hwan-Kyung. If it was a 정치사극 in Joseon it'd be OK, but with Goguryeo you pretty much can expect they're gonna spend more time bitching at China's historical distortion than on storytelling. At least it looked nice.

and, sure enough, the 좆선일보 is already pushing the distortion angle

You'd think after a half decade of Fusion 사극, the media would get used to the inevitable dramatization.

BTW, Hur Joon-Ho signed on to appear up to Ep. 10. Sounds good.

I also want watching this kind of telenovela came from korea, 1st "Love Story in Harvard" i really like alisson lee, ang now there's JUMONG, no one can break this loveteam, song il-kook (jumong) and han hye jin (soh suh no), it's very nice and attractable love story.. Song il-kook i like ur act very very well, ur the best actor for me, no actor here in my country act like u, and for han hye jin i like u also, ur face is likely the same in one of my wanted girl here in phil.. i watch theme everyday here in the Philippines, not only me and also all of my workmate here in pchub computer tech. at SM FAIRVIEW qeuzon city. if GMA7 TV CHANNEL told all of u to came here, i will go to watch all of u in personal.. more success and god bless, tnx..

I don't how to express it here but I think I'm already falling inlove with korean dramas. Their stories really touched my heart. I came to realize that koreans are really good in making such stories and I admire the actors and actresses who I think are the best! By this time, I'm watching Jumong and as I witness every episode, the story really affects me. Geez....I love it thou I may say, in some part of the episodes, wherein it really made me cry. :-( But Long Live Korean Dramas!!!

This movie is very interested for me, some of my friends are watched those future episode and all of them willing to tell me about happened to this story, but i said NO!, i dont want to know!!, i need to watch it everyday at GMA7, because the story is already NO SENSE for me, if i know what happened till the end, so there is no trill to watch,. that's why i need to go home before 10:00 o'clock p.m, to wath only. haha, no person can change the channel while im watching, if u try to change it!, hmmpp!! you will see 'the Jumong art of fighting' haha, seriously a can do that!!... This movie is the best.. and also my idol, the actor song il-kook (jumong) and the girl i love han hye-jin (soh suh no) but most i love, the girl in 'love story in harvard' Alisson lee. i want to meet you all, more success and God Blessed, tnx..

i don't really watch korean teleseries. but with jumong, everything has changed. i became addicted to it maybe because of the movie's historical backgroung and soong il-gook's cool personality....really a perfect combination.

Jumong is the second koreanovela that I like so much, 1st it was Lovers in Paris and now Jumong, actually I'm not intested at 1st but my husband please me to brought DVD at Divisoria until to watch it at home. And now, I can wait for the ending of the story, kasi naman volume 1-60 lang ang na sa akin no!!! ay! I make away-away to my husband kasi wala pa copy nung next volume. For me karapat-dapat lang na manolo na best actor 2006 si song II gook for Jumong super ang galing nya and sana masundan pa uli ang ganitong klaseng tv series especially kung si song II gook ang gaganap!!! siya nga pala ung 1st wife niya sa Jumong (song ji hyo) simple pero attractive siya lalo na when she smile & siya pala si monique sa princess hours which curently aired sa kabilang channel..

i like this korean drama.. fully loaded with good fighting scenes, good looking main characters(like in princess hours),i love the character of the lead actor coz he shows qualities of a great leader and i like the strategies his been using to solve problems that a rises in his way...i like jumong and sosoeno at first but as YESOYA's character begin to appear in the drama i change my mind and it took me really to surprise that i will love the character of YESOYA (Song JI Hyo)even more than the character of sosoeno...because YESOYA"s character is much suitable for that of an empress, willing to sacrifice for the sake of the person she loves and expect nothing in return,she's the woman of grace,look so innocent and has a great compassion for her family (as jumong's first wife)...i saw an episode wherein jumong and sosoeno held their marriage and yesoya with her kid just cry and left the place on that time thought she's dumb.... coz she already struggle for life with his son but when i saw the later part of that episode i even appreciate her character more coz it's for the unity of jumong's kingdom to be built (for political issue coz conflict arise.. whose gonna be the ruler of the kingdom is it jumong's damol army or sosoeno's tribe?)she been waiting for 18 years for her family to unite again but she's not a bitch coz she didn't make a fuss about sosoeno being the empress at that time ..i mean it's sosoeno's conscience and her own will to left the palace and gave to yesoya the title to be the empress........

i luv jumong nung simula hindi ko gusto kasi di naman ako nakapanood non kasi yung tv namin nasa kwarto ng parents ko para magfocus lang kami sa studies pero nung dumating kuya ko galing cebu nagdala siya ng dvd kaya lang yung last 3 cds nanduon sa cebu hiniram daw pero kahit na at least nandito yung 5 cds sa amin palagi na akong nanonood.

JUMONG is a historical story..medio tricky ang part nia pgdating nung last battle nila... kse... sa dvd.. cnabi nlang sa subtitle ung nangyari kay jumong,daeso and yuri.... medio nkakaasar lang...ksi d pinakita tlga kung anong ngyari... kundi trinanslater nlang.... well... kung princess hours ka... ggpitin ka kse.... 24 eps. lang... eh wat about jumong?? 81 !!.... nung last battle nila....ung anak ni jumong na c yuri... npatay nia c daeso....c jumong nmatay at least 40 yrs old.. ksi.. nung episode ngaun sa t.v ( GMA ) nawawala c jumong.... ntamaan c jumong nun sa shoulders.... dun ngkaroon ng infection c jumong.... hehhehh

Every night I do watch Jumong in five episodes. I don't watch in TV because it's late at night. It's 10:30 pm right after Lupin. I wamt the run of the story. Mostly I like the characters of Sa Yong and Song Il Gook. Jewel in the Palace was so good too. It was the highest top rating drama in GMA 7, Philippines.

After Dae Jang Geum, Jumong has got to be the BEST! Although The ending is kind of disappointing, its almost perfect-81 episodes is not enough; the plot with its twists and turns will keep one glued to the screen, acting is just brilliant, costumes fantastic, scenery breathtaking- and Song Il Guk (who was mesmerizing in Emperor of The Sea) did an incredible job- of course there are - many many talented actors here too- the great King Geum Wa, Prince Dae Soo ( what a great villain he is!)....

Ito pa lang si JuMong nagkaroon siya ng pagkakataon na maging asawa niya si So Seo No. Kasi namatay yung asawa ni So Seo No na si Wootae. May nagsasabi naman na itong dalawa ay nagkaroon ng sariling anak. Bago mamatay si Wootae sa pagsugod nila sa kampo ni Song Rang ay may naiwan pa siya na dalawang anak kay So Seo No parehong lalake. Kung meron nga silang anak ni Jumong eh di dapat tatlo ang anak ni So Seo No, dalawa dun sa una at isa kay Jumong. Ay kung papanoorin mo pa ito sa TV baka isang taon mong panonoorin dahil sa haba ng mga episodes. Ang isang episode sa tv ay inaabot ng 3 gabi o kaya hanggang 1 linggo at mapupuyat ka pa. Kung sa dvd, isang oras at kalahati kahit anong oras puwede kang manood. Kasi naman true story ito ng Korea na sila ay nasakop ng Han dynasty. Nang nabasa ko nga history ng Korea ay totoo nga. Yung buhay ni Hae Mo Soo ay inulit ni Jumong. Pagkatapos ng 20 years nagkita yung mag-ama but during that time na buhay si Hae Mo Su hindi niya alam si Jumong pala anak niya hanggang sa mamatay siya hindi na niya nalaman na anak niya ito. Naaawa talaga ako sa eksenang yon pati nung pinatay ni King Geum Wa si Lady Yoo Hwa tumulo luha ko kasi na carried away ako. Atsaka nagtataka ako kung nasaan ang mga batang priestess ni Yeo Mi Eul? Nang maipanganak si Yuri nawala sila sa scene. Ang katapusan nagtayo ng bagong bansa si So Seo No kasama ni Captain Mo Pal Mo at Sa Yong kailangan na nilang umalis dun sa palasyo kasi para maiwasan ang hidwaan sa kung sino ang susunod na emperor.

ayoko kay YESOYA mas nag-sacrifice pa rin si So-Seono para kay Jumong kaysa kay Yesoya, mas maunawain si So Seo-no, kahit yung gyeh-ruh nagawa niyang lisanin para lang kay Jumong. Tsaka kung titingnan mo, mas minahal ni Jumong si So Seo-no kay sa kay Yesoya.. Minahal lang nya si YESOYA dahil sya nag-ligtas sa kanya..

jUMONG gives me a very inspiring story, the characters was so awesome and have a good performing to made this tv series! Lately i don't like to watch any korean tv dramas, but unexpectedly to watch this tv series here in the philippines i tried to get attention for the episodes since the story when i've been started to watch. But the episodes on tv is so slow, and i don't want to watch at late night bcoz i can't wake up the day early to go to job! So i decided to buy a dvd which i can watch all episodes anytime and no cut unlike on tv with commercials and 3 days in 1 episode. By the way the story JUMONG gives a good example to enlighten all people who wants to be succesful, jumong trying hard to defeat all obstacles in his life and suffer for the rights of their country against han dynasty. Fortunately his strength to be most powerful and trying to become a leader with a good supporters to fight. Although for me this story gives a learning method not only for one person but is for everyone, like here in the philippines that i hope to reunite and no more against to our leader just trying to progress our nation. And this is to defend alongside the povertiness and hostilities of the country. So thanks for JUMONG that you gave all people a motivating qualities to brawl the difficulities in everyones life.
