Two New Scenes From Dave Payne's Reeker
(Posted In Film News Horror Trailer Alert USA and Canada )
Of the many, many films I missed at last year's Fantasia I think the one that hurt most was Reeker. I've been hooked on this one since we first posted the trailer back in July last year. The film's producers are still playing coy about a US release - they say they've signed a deal but won't say with who or whether it includes a theatrical release yet - it's coming down the line in France, which means good things are hitting the web. Two complete scenes hit today and the first one ... well, I won't say too much about it, but it's stunning. What an absolutely fantastic concept and the execution is stellar.
A local release sometime soon? Please?

It makes me anrgry that this thing hasn't been released here yet, be it on DVD or in theatres. Everything I hear is positive, so WHAT IS THE HOLD-UP???
I still want to see Feast more, but this is a close second.

Here in Germany there is actually no Hold-Up, as the DVD of "Reeker" has been released as a Rental in March, it will be available for sale here in the middle of May.

You didn't miss anything at all. REEKER is pretty awful. A very mediocre horrorflick until the moronic ending. What were they thinking!?!
