The New City of Violence Trailer Kicks Ass and Takes Names.

(Posted In Action Asia Film News Martial Arts Trailer Alert )

cityofviolenceposter.jpgWe're lagging behind on the Korean stuff a little right now with X temporarily out of commission so big, big thanks to Orien for tossing this into a previous City of Violence thread and to whoever it was at KFC who capped it and made it available for download.

The first City of Violence trailer was an awful lot of fun. It looked like the sort of film that knows exactly what it wanted to be and went for it hard. This new one ups the ante considerably on all fronts. Is this going to be the martial arts film of the year? Very well could be ... based on this it's going to take something mighty impressive to knock it off that particular throne.

My scalp hurts.

looks fantastic. £10 says the weinsteins stick this in their vaults (i.e license it).

I'm not nearly dumb enough to take that bet ...

Well, I downloaded it, missed part of the beginning, tried to start it over (that wouldn't work), had to close it and then try to bring it up again, and now it's telling me I have to wait 70 more minutes.

The first teaser/trailer and the "behind the scenes" clip are up on YouTube (just do a search for "city of violence")... so I'm sure it won't be too long before this new trailer appears there as well.

hmmmm.. looks like the file isn't seekable. that's how it came from KFC. but, if you closed it and tried playing it again, it should have worked. anyway, i just made the file seekable and uploaded it at megaupload, this time. (otherwise, you'd have to wait an hour to download it from rapidshare)

Looks a bit like a Korean martial arts version of Lethal Weapon to me.
