A downloadable trailer for Kenji Gotô's Romance of Darkness (Mizu ni sumu hana) has just been added to the official subsite for the movie.
As was reported here on Twitch back on December 5th of last year, the screenplay for Romance of Darkness (Mizu ni sumu hana) was written by Mamiko Tokue, based on the eponymous manga series Mizu ni sumu hana by Chie Shinohara. The movie's principal cast is as follows: Aki Maeda, Terunosuke Takezai, Mizuho Takasugi, Keiko Kitagawa, Kazuyo Asari, Kôji Satô, Katsunobu Itô, and Toshiyuki Nagashima. Maeda recently starred in Yûji Tajiri's Harami: shiroi kyôfu and Taikan Suga's The Last Love Song on This Little Planet (Saishû heiki kanojo).
Romance of Darkness is scheduled to open at the Euro Space in Tokyo on May 27th.
In other Japanese horror movie news, the official subsite for Macoto Tezka et al.'s omnibus Macoto Tezka's Horror Theater: The Birthday (Tezuka Makoto no horâ shiatâ: za bâsudei) is online. That movie is comprised of six stories: "Kyôfu no resutoran", "Shishiza no kaijin", "Kyôfu no daietto", "Burakku dokutâ", "Ma no ido", and "Sakana". It's scheduled to open at the Shibuya Ciné la Sept in Tokyo on April 29th.

Yay, more Aki Maeda!
Though, it looks like Skyhigh with school girls from the trailer. I doubt the R2 Japanese DVD will have English subtitles.
I think that the live action Sai-kano (The Last Love Song on This Little Planet) has a chance of getting released in the US, since the anime was released here too.
If Linda Linda Linda gets a Korean or HK DVD release, I'm hoping it'll have English subs.
Very interesting and exciting that they seem to continue making these "Horror Theater" hexalogies. First Hideshi Hino, then Kazuo Umezo, now Macoto Tezka ... Very cool!
