Release Dates For Terry Gilliam's Tideland and John Hillcoat's The Proposition!

(Posted In Drama Film News USA and Canada )
Yep, you read that right, Gilliam's Tideland has finally got itself a theatrical release date, at least it does up here in Canada. No word yet on what the plans are in the US. But for us lucky Canucks it will hit screens in Toronto August 4th, expand to Vancouver and Montreal the following week, and be screening in all major Canadian markets before September. As for John Hillcoat's stellar The Proposition - and how's that for a poster up above? - it's hitting Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal May 26th with expansion to other markets to follow.

Check my review of The Proposition here.

I predict that TIDELAND will go direct-to-DVD in the US with maybe a week's worth of limited release in NY/LA before that.

They won't say who it is until the US company announces it themselves, but I'm told that Tideland has been licensed in the US and will release there simultaneously with the Canadian dates.
