Nong and Teng, the Golden Mount Gangsters. New Thai Historical Comedy.

A first stumbled across news of Nong and Teng over at WiseKWai's Thai Film Blog - which you really should read more often than you do - but thanks to a brutally slow and overly flash dependent website I gave up on finding anything about it at the time. Well, the site - still brutally slow - has added an English menu system, which at least allowed me to isolate the trailer file.
Thai comedy doesn't generally translate very well but the production values on this are fantastic - it's set in the early twenties and revolves around the beginnings of Thai cinema - and Ong Bak fans will be happy to see the nearly omnipresent Mum Jokmok turn up once again.
