First Stills From Marilyn Manson's Lewis Carroll Pic Phantasmagoria

Striking visuals, but it's no Drawing Restraint 9. Nevertheless, I'd be interested in checking this out.

Do you really think this looks good so far? I agree that MM is a very interesting guy, and really intellegent judging from interviews I've seen, but as Lewis Carroll? I didn't see Jawbreaker or Party Monster, but it's tough to judge his acting ability from Lost Highway.

The photos just make me think this will be an avant guarde impressionism take on the myth. I am intrigued, but not yet convinced.

Don't really know how it'll turn out until we see them in motion but the stills are interesting and the scraps I've read about what he plans to do with it make me think he's got some serious plans. Time will tell whether he can step into a new medium ...

I thought he was pretty awesome in his acting role in THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS. But that was just a small supporting role so who knows if he can carry a feature. I'd like to see him explore new ways of artistic expression, though.

Manson is what I believe, an exact Shock Rocker. All he does and is on stage is nothing like his normal days. So I'm a slight saddened by this, because I like people who are constantly crazy. But a film by him I think would be great. Though he doesn't live the part (by what I've heard, don't comment me on it) He still does interresting things on stage and can make the actual Manson look a school boy.

Yes, the images are interesting and it's true that he has an intriguing creative process, but I feel that this film will be one big Marilyn Manson music video.

I don't know Manson's music, so I can't be counted among his fans, but the movie looks intriguing nonetheless. My only concern is that the alluring females pictured in the stills would be a tad too old for Lewis Carroll's, um, tastes; but perhaps that angle will be played up differently in the film, as I very much doubt that it could have been overlooked by someone, like Manson, committed to "shock entertainment."

Didn't Tom Waits already do something like this a few years ago?

Marilyn hanging with famous film-makers and artists is akin to Brad Pitt's "obsession" with architecture -- nothing more than a frail attempt to prove his so-called intellectual leanings. All he does is ape the words and gestures of those idolizes and proceeds to try to cash in on his heroes such as Aleister Crowley, whom he imitates quite badly. There is nothing deep about the man -- he's merely the "Zelig" of Goth rock 'tis all, and nothing more. These stills do nothing for me whatsoever. At least Matthew Barney is saying something new in a completely original way.

tome marilyn is a phenomanal shock rocker goth star all the so called "goths" tend to alienate an shun marilyn simply becausehe is an intellectual goth with a new style and more originality than the old "goths" who are supposed to be all about individuality and that is manson and individual talente and gifted with words and music i have yet to see any of his acting but the man is brilliant and i feel he shall not dissapoint with the upcoming phantasmagoria project call me a mansonite what ever you wish i call you fake goths that are hypocritical in the way you wish to expess individuality but when one does instead of following the "classic" notion of goth you shun and ridicule him so isidore my dear do f**ck off and have anice day =) (as childish and prankiha as that was it still felt good)

when i first heard about him contemplating on doing a film based on his book, "long hard road out of hell".. i had a feeling it was going to be bigger than any movie put out, but very costly.
and very unimaginable.
however, from the looks of these stills...
the images are so crisp , and rich, highly digital...and clear.
now, when you see an image looking that fucking good,
you know the film is going to kick your ass. especially if marilyn manson is in the cast, you'd know if you've seen marilyn manson perform on stage at sold out shows.. he is made for this.
the previous movies that he has taken small roles in, i would think, is his trial acting, like he's said in an interview in revolver, "ive just begun to unzip my zipper, now get ready to suck my dick!" which means, his creation with great anticipation, should, blow your damn mind. it will make you THINK.
and im just dying to see this film.

I love Marilyn Manson and I think that this movie are going to be one of the best in the history of the films, I respect what people think but I hate when people say stupid things about him and they don't even know how is he. I really respect the different oppinions but I really FUCK the persons that enter in a side made for Marilyn Manson fans and start FUCK him. You must be in you things and don't be in anyone else.

If you can't even form a sentence with correct grammar and decent spelling and syntax, do us all a favor and don't post a paragraph with the same problems on a publicly viewed site. Honestly, "disagrease"?? What the hell? Did you completley miss Elementary school? Also, to one "u/\/4gI\/3/\/", learn what punctuation is. It makes paragraphs possible to read. Only then should you tackle the difficult task of spelling, grammar, syntax, and forming your thoughts into something intelligent. A lot of you say it yourself, that Manson is an intelligent man. If you idolize him so much, why do you not strive harder to be like him?

Also, I believe this movie will truly be something different, and will make his critics see him in a different light (those who get past their judgmentalism long enough to give it a chance, anyway).

Such a waste of time! While manson is doing something none of you nitwits will ever do but can only dream of doing, you spend your hours writing comments to prove who loves him more. Love him or hate him truth is the man is a genius, and he knows how to get what he wants. Thank you! I am also a Marilyn Manson fan, although i do agree with what that girl has to day, she is giving a bad name to us all.
I'm looking forward to this movie, and searching everywhere, for a bit of information of what it's going to look like. I'm very excited to see this.

when does the movie come out?

I find Manson to be a very complex individual, there is no doubt in my mind that he does not have the unique ability to make somethig such as the vision of Lewis Carroll into an amazing peice of art. I cannot wait until the releas of this master peice. I predict a very strong film, i am looking forword to the both creative and in some instances disterbing or grotesque images that will make this film a manson production. Hats off to those involved in the making of this movie I am one Manson Fan that is sure to adore the finished project! Also to those who have not seen Mansons acting before I am sure that this is right up his allie, he is an amazing mind with the ability to captivate and amaze the most simple of the human minds. Can't wait for the release ! ! !
