Trailers for Yûichi Onuma's KILL DEVIL, Takahisa Zeze's KOKKURI, and Ryûhei Kitamura's AZUMI

(Posted In Action Asia DVD News Film News Horror Martial Arts Sci-Fi / Fantasy Trailer Alert )

kill_devil_usdvd.jpgThe website for Los Angeles-based production/distribution company Urban Vision Entertainment Inc.'s live-action Asian movie label AsiaVision has just gone live, and there are downloadable trailers for Yûichi Onuma's Kill Devil (Kiru onigokko), Takahisa Zeze's Kokkuri (Kokkuri-san), and Ryûhei Kitamura's Azumi on it. (Note: There's an English-subtitled downloadable version of the trailer for Kill Devil on the website of Belle Equipe Y.K. (Y.K. Beru Ekippu); consequently, below I've linked to it rather than to the one on the AsiaVision website.)

Urban Vision Entertainment is scheduled to release Kill Devil on DVD in the U.S. on April 4th, and Kokkuri on DVD there on May 2nd. It plans to give Azumi a limited theatrical release this spring; the movie "will tour in major cities across the United States."

I've been curious about KILL DEVIL since I saw information about it on some website. That trailer kinda had me thinking that I didn't wanna see it anymore, right up until that little dance sequence, then I was curious again.

I'm glad someone's finally releasing AZUMI in R1 (they should've skipped over AZUMI 2 though, it's pretty awful), but they don't seem to list a running time. Which cut are they putting out?

If their first DVD release is any indication of the potential quality of these films, I'm a little concerned. The quality of "Curse Death and Spirit" is ok, but the quality of the trailers you mentioned look like garbage on this disc. No care taken to them whatsoever!! The trailer for Kill Devil looks as if it had been lifted off a VCD!

Wow Kill Devil looks abosolutely shit, looks like such a rip off of BR, and with dance? I think i'll pass on that one.

They will have to do something really spectacular with their AZUMI DVD for me to upgrade from the perfect Japanese release. The rest of the titles doesn't interest me. Urban Vision had better concentrate on finally releasing that long-promised DVD of the Japanese language version of VAMPIRE HUNTER D - BLOODLUST!

Curse, Death & Spirit is a collection of films from 1992, you cant get it any better than it already is as the original source is probably VHS or laserdisc.

I won mine in their contest and I'm pretty happy with it.

Looking forward to Kokkuri and Kill Devil (both on pre-order)

Now I hope they release "Last Supper" and the other Benten releases as well.
