Ever since that fantastic re-contextualized "Shining" Trailer (along with Titanic as a J-Horror, and West Side Story as a Zombie film - All Here) popped up on the web in September/October 2005, a small but growing subgenre of fan-made shorts have been emerging on the web: The Trailer Mash-ups. There was a nice one of Brokeback Mountain and the Back to the Future trilogy a while ago (here) and a Kill Bill - Passion of the Christ one (here) as well. (YouTube is a good source for Mash-ups if you don't mind wading through that gargantuan site.)
But the latest one floating around the web is probably the edgiest and most well done of the bunch. Beautifully combining the Juice by Tappy bit and various audio from Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream with Toy Story 2 video. It's amazing how the mind tricks you into seeing the lips syncing up so well. Ellen Burstyn as L'il Bo Peep. Jennifer Connolly as Jessie the Cowgirl. Both Junkies of sorts, Oh My!
It reminds me of that 1980s cult animated short Apocalypse Pooh which now seems way ahead of its time and perhaps is soon destined for a remake.

Excellent!
terrific!
Holy crap! That was awesome!
Not so much the Kill Bill- Passion of the Christ. I'm not a church goer or anything. It was just kind of tasteless and boring.
I actually think the KB/POC one is good for the simple reason as it blackly satirizes the Passion of the Christ by association. Saying that POC is the same type fo film as Kill Bill, which exists to the same end: to gratify its hungry audience by giving it what it wants to maximum excess.
...And I love that tune from Fukasaku's Battle Without Honor or Humanity...pretty much in any context, some hardcore KB fan is probably going to walk down the aisle to that someday. :)
The Kill Bill tune is not from Fukasaku's Battle Without Honor or Humanity. It's from Junji Sakamoto's Another Battle, which is a 2000 remake. The composer, Tomoyasu Hotei, also stars in the movie. Fans of Samurai Fiction will recognize him as the bad guy samurai, Kazamatsuri.
