Much Higher Resolution Trailer for Goro Miyazaki's Gedo Senki!

(Posted In Animation Asia Film News Trailer Alert )

gedowarhistory.jpegWith the trailer link at Catsuka currently down - Aint It Cool linked in and I imagine their server was thrashed in a matter of minutes - Peter over at Ghibliworld.com has stepped in with a very detailed article that goes ove the history of the project, Goro's tempestuous relationship with his famous father, and - most importantly - includes a link to a much higher resolution version of the trailer. This file's huge, so I imagine it's just a matter of time before his bandwidth starts to strain as well, so move quickly ... hit that link above to get to find the trailer.

The file on Catsuka is not down, but there's a limit for Catsuka videos downloads : 40 persons at the same time.
This limit is often reached today (because of this trailer of course).

I am a big hayao fan ,and unfortunately i must tell you that i am not
very optimistic about this.I am an animation director myself and i can't believe someone with no experiece suddenly becomes an animation guru!
industry side of filmmaking know a lot of tricks to make money, and this hayao's son story maybe one of them, because the name "MIYAZAKI"
means money to animation buisnessmen and maybe they don't like the absence of this name, they can make alot of money with this name so perhaps they have made an arrangement with Goro and this maybe the reason why the great hayao is not happy!
industry ,artists, and people love to have hayao's movies for many years to come and I think this is why all of us love to believe Goro is the new hayao!
I think some other guy(s)from Ghibli is making this film under the name "MIYAZAKI" to satisfy viewers...
maybe you call me a fucking pessimistic but this story may possibly be fucking true...remember that nobody can fill hayao's shoes ,he is unique!
(my english is not good and i beg your pardon for possible mistakes!)

I said it before when this was first announced, and i believe it holds - the Ghibli team are comprised of a huge and diverse pool of talents, who work from film to film. Whoever directs their movies, i cant see this being significantly better or worse than either HOWL'S MOVING CASLTE, ONLY YESTERDAY, MY NEIGHBOURS THE YAMADAS or WHISPERS OF THR HEART in terms of character of background design. This supposed conflict between Miyasaki snr and jnr will ultimiately seem like a lor of hot air. After all, Hayao Miyazaki virtually founded Ghibli - why would the company produce his son's work if he was againt it?
