Poster, Music Video and English Subtitled Trailer for Russian Thriller Junk (Zhest)

(Posted In Continental Europe and Russia Drama Film News Horror Trailer Alert )

JUNKsmall.jpgI have said more than a few times here that I think Russia is one of the most exciting film cultures in the world right now, really exploding onto the genre scene since the success of The Nightwatch, and two of the films I'm following closely right now are coming from small independent production house MB Productions. One is sci-fi actioner Paragraph 78 (see above) and the other is this one, serial killer / slasher thriller Junk.

We were the first to post the Russian trailer for Junk a good while back and now we've got the first look at the poster, a new music video (which includes spoilers, so be aware of that going in if you plan on seeing the film), and an English subbed version of the Russian trailer. Yes, this basic story has been done many times but when done well it still has some good punch to it and this one seems to do it very well indeed ...

Wow! That looks really well done. Certainly, this is a film to watch out for.

Sorry for the double post, but what happened to Wolfhound? Wasn't it supposed to come out this month? News on the website hasn't updated since October of last year.

Wolfhound will be released in October 2006.

Junk will be hitting DVD on April 13th, according to ALLDVD. Of course, there aren't any subtitles. It will be anamorphic and have a DTS track though.

Looks like this has an English subtitled release after all. I just ordered it from ALLDVD.
