Well, this is intriguing ... as a promotional tool for digital film making tools DigiDesign.com is offering up a free DVD titled Room To Dream, featuring David Lynch talking about his use of digital tools on a recent project, with clips from that project included. DigiDesign is being very careful to not actually name the film Lynch is talking about, so there certainly is the possibility that it could be one of the projects developed specifically for DavidLynch.com but when you put the words 'digital project' and 'David Lynch' together right now that says 'Inland Empire' to me, and this promises both clips and behind the scenes footage. Did I mention it's free?
Thanks to Jung for the pointer.
free is good and i like lynch!
Got the Room To Dream and while it was interesting, there is virtually no way that the scene contained therein is from Inland Empire. The interview with Lynch is interesting and the behind the scenes stuff of the scene they are shooting is pretty decent, but in the end, this is just a big ad for the Avid system. In a completely seperate part of the DVD, where they are walking you through how great the Avid is, they have a system set up with clips from the Lynch scene on it. I can't see how Lynch would have allowed them to use footage from the a scene from Inland Empire in a promotional sales video before the film is even released. My guess is the scene was for something on davidlynch.com, or was shot specifically for this promotional DVD. None the less, it was worth the moeny spent (none:).
Yeah got this the other day it was worth the price as you say. Sure as hell wasnt from Inland Empire though.
