Jet Li's 'Fearless' has a North American release date

While I don't like the idea of waiting this long the release date for Fearless here on our shores has been announced.

Mark your calendars for August 4th.

And you can be pretty sure that this date will stick since it is not Miramax or the Weinsteins who hold the rights for this film. It will be going up against Will Ferrell's Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby [trailer here] so realistically we would be looking at no better than 2nd in the box office. It will be highly likely that we will have all already seen this film once the DVD comes out in Hong Kong. But it is important that studios like Rogue Pictures are supported in their theatrical runs. That, and Jet Li looks just wicked on the big screen.
