Complete Lake County Film Festival Program Online!

(Posted In Random Festival News )

lakecounty.jpgThe complete program for the third Lake County Film Festival has gone online and things are looking good. In addition to screening Chan Wook Park's complete Vengeance Trilogy they've got a slate of quality independent films including - drum roll here - Luke's Father and the Sled, which was DP'd by one Mr. Chris Porto, better known around these parts as Crazybee. 'Bee's been a day one guy lurking about the site since the very beginning, so a hearty congratulations to him for actually going out and making a movie while the rest of us just sat around and talked about them. Nat, the Lake County boss man, is also a regular around these parts and got our very own X to provide the Lady Vengeance write up for their program guide so you know he's got decent taste. Either that or he's just puffing up my ego in exchange for free publicity. It's one or the other.

Check the official Lake County site here.

Well, I don't think I CAN puff up your ego more than what I say all the time, and that's that twitchfilm is my favorite site. First on the RSS feed, first in my heart. And while I'm sure I'll be covered by things with a larger readership (like last years article in the Chicago Tribune), It makes me excited to see it up on my favorite site.

I wanted someone else to review Lady Vengeance because I actually haven't seen it yet. Every Asian film I've seen in the theatre since Crouching Tiger, I saw first on DVD, and I'm sick of it. The whole point of bringing the Vengeance Trilogy here is that we don't get the ability to see these films here. I'm trying to give the whole county something special here, and I didn't want to take that away from myself.

So, it was easy to simply ask someone at my favorite site to review it. I didn't even read the review, I'm trying to not read anything about it. I'll check it out in two weeks!

Thanks for the free publicity!

Less than a week away and I can't wait!

We'll be coming along with our own "posse" (crew & actors) as well, so if you guys want to meet us, by all means!
