Check Out Sleeper, A Quality Sci-Fi Short ...

One of the major misconceptions that really stops a lot of people from moving into sci-fi is the idea that it needs to be all flash and glam to work, that you need to spend a lot of money on design to sell your alternate world. Primer made it pretty clear that's not the case and 've just been sent a link to a short film titled Sleeper that makes the point as well.
The story feels like a small part of something much larger but director Ali Reza Kohani shoots some fantastic film and establishes his worlds with some very simple lighting and audio touches. It's a quality, efficient pice of work and well worth checking out.

yeah, it seems like this is just to generate some interest in the story to get money to make a feature out of it.
although the lead actor is weak, it's a strong start.

The feature is not the same story or about the same thing as SLEEPER. They made SLEEPER as a test. I sent them a note and they said it was shot over 2 days for no $ so they could test out the kinks of production on a small scale.
They said the next film is a Horror / Romance project, hmmm. You dont see that combo much.
