Invisible Waves Website and Trailer Online!

(Posted In Asia Drama Film News )

wavesposter.jpgSee what happens when you whine in public? Just yesterday I was lamenting the continued lack of a trailer for Pen-Ek Ratanaruang's Invisible Waves and today I got a note from someone connected to the production steering me to the official English language website complete with trailer. I'm downloading as I type this, so more comments later ...

Whoa! I had about 3-4 "Last Life in the Universe" moments in that trailer. I'm stoked that Ratanaruang is continuing in that direction.

Bring. It. On.

Does anybody know what the predominant language of the spoken dialogue will be. I'm assuming it isn't Thai. Is Kang Hye Jung's character Korean, while everybody else is Japanese?

Maybe a mix of Japanese and English?

Is that the same Maria Cordero from Ringo Lam's City on Fire?

Isn't Eric Tsang from HK?

I like the fact that Ratanaruang seems to push the pan-asian aspects of his stories.

Yeah, Eric Tsang is from HK. Surprised to see him here, although a pleasent surprise.

Definetly looking forward to this.

Maybe Ratanaruang will pull a Wong Kar Wai (a la 2046) and just have everybody speak in their native tongue.

eric tsang - 'sam' from infernal affairs : i think he is a superb actor...

Amazing. I've never seen it the film before, but I got this "Saving My Hubby" vibe from Gang Hye Jung with the baby. Probably cause both she and Bae Doona have been in the Revenge trilogy.

Just went on the website. Gotta repost just because they have the amazing lastlifeintheuniverse score playing on it. Also, Gang Hye Jung's character name is Noi! I wonder if there are more connections to lastlife than theme...

Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Thank you for that.
