Wong Kar Wai Planning Film About Hurricane Katrina

Wong Kar Wai: populist film maker? It sounds odd, but it looks like he's heading at least slightly in that direction ... his next film is slated to star Nicole Kidman and (reportedly) Takeshi Kitano. The one after that will be a Bruce Lee bio-pic. And after that? According to the UK's Guardian WKW is in pursuit of Adrien Brody to star in a film about Hurricane Katrina. Seemingly unaware of the irony inherent in the statement the Guardian is reporting that Brody "will not commit to the project until he has read the script, which Wong has still to complete." Heh. Gonna wait a mighty long time there, Adrien.
