Whee! We reported back in July on the progress of Free Jimmy, a Norweigian CG animated film about a drug addicted circus elephant who makes a break for freedom in the arctic tundra, where he befriends a moose. Frankly, I've been feeeling rather giddy about this film ever since because, well, what's not to love about a film with an elephant going through the DTs in rather non-elephantish terrain? The trailer has just arrived online and it looks rather fine. It's the Norweigian voice version, though, so no sign of Simon Pegg, Kyle MacLachlan, Samantha Morton and the rest of the English language crew ... the trailer is also surprisingly elephant-free, though you do get a bunch of gun weilding, jester hat wearing, motorbike ridings goons attempting to warm up the northern climes through the liberal usage of gasoline.

Cool, its refreshing to see an CG animation that goes beyond the kiddy genre.
Todd, that trailer is off its head.... in a good way!
Just for your information: The "bunch of gun weilding, jester hat wearing, motorbike ridings goons" are actually a variant of a ethnic minority group in Norway, called "same" (or lapps as some of you will now them as). The "jester hats" are actually part of their national habit, and they appear in many variants in Norway, Sweden and Finland. This is, by the way, Norway's most expensive film ever.
Just a note - this is merely a teaser. The film opens in Norway on April 21, and I expect a proper trailer will appear before then.
