We really, really love the nice little things that keep popping up in our Forum. Icelandic Twitcher Swarez points to the entire 1978 Japanese live action Spiderman TV show (The origin episode) which has been lovingly tongue-in-cheek fan-subbed. It's fun stuff, especially when you see that the Japanese production has given Spidey a bonus accessory: A personal spaceship/transformer-mech-suit named "The Marveller." Put that in your copyright-pipe and smoke it. (Yes, Toei did actually have permission from Marvel to do this any way they saw fit).
Warning: Hilarious opening number comes dangerously close to topping the 'stay-in-your head' theme from the Canadian-animated '60s show.
Also, take note of the side-bar on the page -- 'related videos' for more Sentai Spiderman tidbits.

Wow-wee wow! This just about made my day, and puts the old Nicolas Hammond US version to shame. Then again, a video of me as an eight-year old jumping around it a store-bought Spidey costume pretty much put that series to shame, even with Ted Danson's pre-Cheers appearance in Spider-man & the Dragon's Challenge.
Giant robots, heroic poses, multiple zooms and cute girls in S&M outfits - everything a self-respecting Japanese super hero show should have, with addition of amusing subs.
By going to www.boneyjellyfish.com you can download an .avi of the episode and keep it forever!
Wow!!! Strangely it too is my dream to dress in tights!
Had high hopes for this one, but people who watched it say it isn't anything special.
damn.. that intro music is amazing.. where can i get the album ?!
God I hope some filthy bootlegger rips the Japanese set and puts subtitles on it so I can get it on Ebay. Me wants this so bad.
