Actor Chris Penn was discovered dead in his home in Santa Monica yesterday. Cause of death is currently unknown but police say there is no sign of anything suspicious. A perpetual supporting man Penn will always be best remembered - at least around these parts - for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and True Romance. We'll miss you, Nice Guy Eddie.
Yeah, I just heard about this an hour or two ago. R.I.P. Mr. Penn. He was awesome. "He tried to f*** me daddy." :)
I liked his role in Best of the Best, well this is sad news. RIP
May he rest in peace, as one of the greatest actors in the world.
For sure one of my favorite actors. R.I.P

"Ladera Heights, it's the 'Black Beverly Hills'"
Aww Geez. I loved Chris. Absolutely LOVED Chris in Res Dogs and True Romance. He's Sean Penn's brother, right? Are they saying it's a drug OD? Oh man, what happened to Chris. He was such a wonderful character actor. OK he swore a lot in his roles, but I loved the way he pulled it off, and made you lauch. Nice Guy Eddie... never forget you. Always miss you. Rest in Peace.

Talk about Irony. According to that BBC article, Chris was due to appear at Sundance this week for the premiere of his latest film, the Darwin Awards. The film is inspired by the dubious awards of the same name:
"The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally kill themselves in really stupid ways."
As there's no suspicion of foul play, then I guess it was something that happened to Chris naturally or he did of his own volition. A Darwin candidate himself? That's too sad, and too ironic.
