나의 결혼원정기 (Wedding Campaign) DVD - Open Case

After the success of 웰컴 투 동막골 (Welcome To Dongmakgol), Jung Jae-Young has finally entered the A-List of Chungmuro stars, so many people expected him to succeed on his next project, the comedy 나의 결혼원정기 (Wedding Campaign). Directed by Hwang Byung-Guk, the film stars Jung and Yoo Joon-Sang as country bumpkins who go to Uzbekistan to find a wife, but then meet a Korean interpreter (Soo Ae) with a past to hide. Although it was praised by critics for mixing comedy with serious issues, the film didn't fare too well at the box office, selling around 700,000 tickets.

Still, I liked what I've seen so far, and low-key comedies like this often turn out better than more 'prestigious' (in terms of drawing power) films. The DVD just came out, and Madmad released open case shots of the package. Quite pretty, and creative as well, making the digipacks inside the package look like passports. Also note the 'Welcome To Uzbekistan!' line on the front side, maybe an allusion to Dongmakgol, maybe not. If you're not familiar with HB Entertainment, who released the title, that's the name of Tube Entertainment's new DVD brand.
