MPAA Called Out For Illegally Copying Doc About The MPAA.

mpaa-ad.jpgAre you paying attention Alanis? Rain on your wedding day is not ironic. The lawsuit happy, anti-piracy crusading MPAA being called out for illegally duplicating a movie critical of the MPAA's ratings process? That's ironic.

This Film Is Not Yet Rated director Kirby Dick has accused the MPAA of illegally making copies of his film. The MPAA, for their part, acknowledge that they did indeed copy the film without asking permission or paying for the right to do so, but they don't seem to think the laws they enforce on everyone else should apply to them. Nice.

At this point, if any of the non-ironic things Alanis mentions in her song were to happen to somebody aware of the non-irony of it, it might actually be considered ironic.
