Gom wrote about a Japanese film adaptation of a Japanese video game titled Siren a while back. Now it would appear that the most beloved horror director, Sam Raimi, is also setting up shop to film his own adaptation of the same game for his own studio, Ghost House Pictures.
Premise: The film version will focus on an American med school student searching for her missing sister in Japan. She begins her investigation in the remote mountain village of Hanuda, only to find herself trapped with an unspeakable evil that can no longer be contained.
In my honest opinion, uncontainable and unspeakable evil is simply the worst kind of evil. So much more evil than poke you with a stick and laugh evil. That poor med school student. She is in for some rough times.

This was actually quite a scary game...
Now all they need to do is inevitably cast Sarah Michelle Gellar, and f*** the whole thing up.
Wow... between this and The Grudge, perhaps Sam Raimi is trying to scare off young Americans from staying in Japan? Ha, ha...
dude I absolutely love this game, but first of all casting a girl as the main character will mess up the whole story, not to mention an American! Everyone in this game is japanese, and also isnt the story of the japanese movie about a girl lookin for her sister?
im indifferent in my opinion about this movie. and you guys are right they do F*** up all japanese movie remake/adaptations.
