Ah ... now this is one I've been waiting for for ages. While there's still no sign of an English subtitled version of the trailer the Danish trailer for After the Wedding has turned up online and it only confirms that this is one to watch out for. It's the latest from the acclaimed director of Brothers (Brodre), written by the brilliant Anders Thomas Jensen (The Green Butchers, Adam's Apples, Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself, too many others to mention) and starring the always strong Mads Mikkelsen (Pusher, Open Hearts, a host of others). That is one major collision of talent ... here's the synopsis:
"Jacob Petersen has dedicated his life to helping street children in India. When the orphanage he heads is threatened by closure, he receives an unusual offer. A Danish businessman, Jørgen, offers him a donation of $4 million dollars. There are, however, certain conditions...
Not only must Jacob return to Denmark, he must also take part in the wedding of Jørgen's daughter. The wedding proves to be a critical juncture between past and future and catapults Jacob into the most intense dilemma of his life."

I, too, have been waiting for this!! I am a huge Mads Mikkelsen fan - there is not one thing this man cannot do!! This will hold me over (maybe) until an English trailer is released. I'm very intriqued, can't wait for the release!
Thank you so very, very much Todd! I have been so desperate for news of this film. Mads Mikkelsen and Anders Thomas Jensen can do no wrong for me and to have them once again in collaboration with the wonderful Susanne Bier is just superb!
Lets hope an English subtitled trailer isn't too far behind.
I can't seem to upload the trailer darn it! But I will keep trying.
