oh my effing jesus NO!!!!! this is incredibly, devastatingly disheartening... genius, seminal director casts sugary, talentless, corporate puppet. to make it even more grating: this Rain/Bi kid is quite annoyingly annoying.

i am a huge park chan wook fan. watched Rain on tv drama bfore. i think our beloved director has his reason for casting the 'rain' guy... Bi?!

I made my position about Rain pretty clear, but I trust Maestro Park. And besides, the focus is more on Kang Hye-Jung, with probably everyone else wrapped around her delusional world. If Park uses Rain's screen presence and physicality, it'll be fine.

I see potential in Rain as an actor. He's pretty decent compared to some of the others who are acting out there. I don't like him as a singer though. I think he has a terrible voice but i think he can go far in acting with more experience and more hard work.

I'm not too familiar with the director or the work he has done. So far from Rain's performances, I believe he will try his best. He's a great preformer (I just saw his concert live), and a decent actor. His voice is different I think, it's got a low, scratch that doesn't SOUND out too loudly when singing normally, but when he gets loud, it's pretty clear. So.. best luck to this hyped up Boy Wonder. He's adorable. =P

I'm a hardcore fan of both Director Park, Chan wook and Rain. I saw all of Director Park's works from the first one to the latest one. I also saw all of 3 drama works of rain and have all of his CDs and DVDs. Rain is unbelievably talented person all around. Acting, singing and dancing. Park, chanwook saw Rain's previous work, 'a love to kill,' and got very impressed. Director Park casted Rain himself. I trust both of these guys and I would like to say to you that you can higher your expectation when these two guys meet. I am so excited already. FYI, The shooting will be started from coming March.

Well, I dunno.. I'm a PCW fan, and I can't help feeling somehow Rain is just not the right guy, regardless of his acting skills. I fear that I'll see Rain, not the character, no matter what character he's playing. He has become too big of an idol star already. I had the same concern when Bae Yong-Jun was cast in April Snow, and I was duly disappointed when I finally watched it (although BYJ was not the only factor that ruined the film for me). I almost wished I hadn't known BYJ in the first place. I sense a similar danger here.

BTW, I just read that Im Soo-jung (Tale of Two Sisters) was cast as the main female lead. That luckily somewhat offsets my concern about this cyborg flick, in addition to the rumor that the male lead will be a much less significant role than the female counterpart.

Director Chan must have his reasons for casting Bi in his upcoming film. Who knows? He might turn Bi into something more serious? I think we should give them a chance. We can bitch about it later if we don't like the film when the film's out. It's not the end of the world. It's not liike Director Park is casting Anna Nicole Smith! LOLOLOL!
