Radiohead Turn Down A Scanner Darkly.

(Posted In Animation Film News Sci-Fi / Fantasy USA and Canada )

scannerdarklysmall.jpgSad news ... I've been trying to get confirmation from an official source since running the rumor that Radiohead had been approached to write the score for Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly. I couldn't get a response from Linklater's people, but the folks at ateaseweb.com have evidently gotten hold of someone connected to Radiohead's management. They confirm that the band was approached to score the film but report, sadly, that they turned the offer down as they were busily at work on their new record.

Read the report here.

Thanks to Greg for the pointer.

Oh... Chris Vrenna would be an excellent choice.

Clint Mansell is always a good choice for an interesting score...Just look at Requiem for a Dream and how many different places that score has turned up.!
