On January 21st of next year, Toei Video Co. Ltd. (Tôei Bideo K.K.) is scheduled to release five of Masahiro Makino's movies on DVD in Japan: Kyôkotsu ichidai (1967 - DSTD-02517), Kyôkaku retsuden (1968 - DSTD-02518), Gorotsuki (1968 - DSTD-02519), Nihon yakuza-den: sôchô e no michi (1971 - DSTD-02521), and Kantô Hizakura ikka (1972 - DSTD-02522). Other movies which Toei Video is scheduled to release on DVD in Japan that day include Chikara Okamura's 1 rittoru no namida (2004 - DSZS-07027), Keiichi Ozawa's Hissatsu! Batoru rôdo: yôken onna shikaku (2006 - DSZS-07028), and Tarô Sakamoto's Gekijô-ban: Kamen Raidâ Hibiki to 7-nin no senki (2005 - DSTD-02512). It appears that none of the aforementioned DVDs will have English subtitles.
