A Bevy of Lynch on DVD! Plus A Chance to Win Autographed David Lynch Merch!

(Posted In Cult DVD News Drama Giveaways Horror Sci-Fi / Fantasy USA and Canada )

Lynch_pic.jpgLadies and gentlemen, here's a little something that you won't find on Amazon but you will find here in the Twitch DVD Store.

I've let my subscription to DavidLynch.com lapse in recent days but I was a subscriber in the early days, largely because I wanted my shot at his web-only content, in particularly the crudely animated Dumbland and the surreal Rabbits. There's still no sign of Rabbits but Dumbland is slated to hit DVD on December 13th. And if you've been lusting after the Lynch restored edition of Eraserhead and the Short Films DVD but have balked at the hefty price of the limited edition packages then rejoice for also releasing on December 13th will be standard keep case editions of both, with the Lynch transfers and bonus features all intact. Only difference will be the packaging and the price: these new sets are now retailing for $17.99 each.

But wait! It gets better! To celebrate the release of these damn fine DVDs we're also offering 25% off all other David Lynch titles. And it gets better still! Enter the A Damn Fine Cup of Trivia Contest for your crack at a slew of autographed David Lynch merchandise!

All the Lynchy goodness is here. Just in time for Christmas, too ...

And what's going on with this special edition of his DUNE that he's supposeldy very involved in putting together? Most importantly, will he direct another film anytime soon?

I've stopped speculating on the TP season 2 box ... and I've heard a lot of conflicting reports about how involved he was in the Dune set. But as for a new film ... Inland Empire, baby. Should premiere at Cannes.

i think paramount bought the rights for the dvd from spelling and artisan and they're rereleasing season one and then two (or sitting on them). but i heard that a long time ago from somewhere. you could always check mike dunn's lynchnet for updates whenever they come in.

i'm thankful to have my vhs box but rarely watch them because they are starting to deteriorate rapidly. saturated runny colors and it's all in ep mode. maybe i'll make my own se2 dvd from the vhs. it'll look and sound weird but at least it won't get any worse. who knows when the general public will get se2 on dvd. i hope it's soon though.
