Glory! Fan site MarsDust has word directly from Bruce Campbell that his vastly underappreciated loopy sci-fi cowboy comedy The Adventures of Brisco County Jr is slated to hit DVD sometime in the spring of 2006! Brisco has long been one of the holy grails of Campbell fandom, spawning a vigorous cult still tracking the show years after its single season run. Very sweet. Now if only someone would see fit to put Raimi's American Gothic on DVD as well ... those two would round out my Campbell / Raimi shelf quite nicely, thank you ...
And not to toot our own horns, but just as I predicted here Campbell also confirmed that Bubba Ho Tep prequel Bubba Nosferatu will be rolling soon. Nice.
Uh...American Gothic IS on DVD!
Hey, look at that, it IS ... somehow missed that news. Hurray!
Good news! but I think here, in Spain, we never will see those DVD. I had some episodes in video tapes, but I recently clean all this jurasical stuff. Brisco, Hercules,... all is gone!
What about Jack of all trades? Fucking loved that show. It had probably the best theme song and credit sequence ever.
Yee-HAH! Years ago I just got a bunch of bootlegs and made covers for them, but that was one episode per dvd so it was totally lame. Can't wait to pick this up - thanks for the good news!
Hooray! Now I can get rid of all those videotapes I made when I recorded the show from TNT years ago. And Bruce will look so much better on DVD.
I'm not sure what everyone's getting excited about. Bruce's recent comments about Bubba Nosferatu have as much weight as when we first saw that title in the end credits of Bubba Ho-Tep.
Yeah, we know Coscarelli wants to do it. Yeah, we know Bruce will do it.
But it's all a matter of if/when they get the money to do it.
Coscarelli turned down directing for Masters of Horror season 2, because he had stuff to do with Nosferatu
