Tony Scott's Domino to Close New Montreal Film Festival

(Posted In Action Random Festival News USA and Canada )

Domino_oneSheet.jpgIt is the world premier of the often delayed film. If you are at the festival in Montreal, we are curious to hear what you think of this film, which due to some great trailers and Richard Kellys involvement as screenwriter, has some of us really interested.

As you probably know (and mentioned here), the real Domino Harvey was found dead of a drug overdose in her West Hollywood home back in June.

I was interested in this because of Kelly's involvement.Until I saw some trailers and clips and read a couple early screening reviews saying Scott is still in his Man on Fire mode.A film I hated.Crazy, unnecessary camerawork.Colored filters and choppy editing. He has talent but the guy needs to show a little restraint.I long to see another True Romance even though everybody knows that film's a classic due to Tarantino's script.

Stylistic quirks aside(I think Scott is mocking his own over-blown style here...check out the close-up no the goldfish in the trailer!). Domino fits the mold of Scott working with a good screenwriter and a talented and game cast.
