Tony Jaa To Play a Monkey God?

(Posted In Asia Film News Martial Arts )

tony.jpgThat's the word ... TonyJaa.org are reporting that the owner of Thailand's Sahamongkol films has spilled details on Tony's next three Thai films. Next will be the widely reported Sword. After that will be a project they're describing only as 'large' that they would like to lure John Woo into directing. And after that will be a film based on the monkey god Hanuman. That one will be directed by Rachain Limtrakul, a producer on Killer Tattoo.

Tony with John Woo? Sweet. Tony as a monkey god? Yeah, after the opening of Ong Bak I can see that, no problem ...

Tony Jaa playing Hanuman?

According to legend, Hanuman could grow into a giant at will and he once carried a mountain on his back while flying over the sea.
I don't think this will be a mythological movie. It might just be a modern adaptation of the legend.

I'm really so wonder for Tony 'couse he is really amazing, ' never see nathig like this before, Bruce lee is the best but Tony is really good and I think that he can be very good like Bruce.

It also let people know what our people is all about, not just the fighting but also the culture. I think that it would be cool if you guys remake the movie Nai Khanomtom it would be awesome man.

Jaa isn't getting the popularity he deserves, Ever since a young child i had been obsessed with Asian films, And classic kung fu flicks. My parents never understood why i enjoyed the late voice overs and the corny scenarios. But i did. Jaa is a modern day Kung Fu Role model who deserves a great ammount of respect as an actor and a martial artist. I have no clues as to if Tony will be read these, or even get a chance to read them. But tony keep it up buddy. Your doing well..keep the movies coming your a great actor..

Tony Jaa is good, but he will never be a bruce lee. Bruce Lee had more power and speed. Pound for pound Bruce Lee was the best. His quickness was very fast and execution with good reaction.

Bruce Lee more power??? Come on! Give Tony Jaa some credit, he fights like we all would like to fight. He uses his entire body, he takes a hit to give a hit. Lee seemed to be faster, but Jaa's power, strength and speed give him the edge over Lee. You can't really go wrong with either guy...kinda like 1 and 1A.

Guys, come on. There can be no one best in this field. Everyone has their own style, speed and talent. Known to you , BRUCE LEE was master of all this in 1960's when Jaa was not born at all. Jaa's age is bruce Lee's experiance. Did you see the AXN interview of jaa last week? Jaa said "Lee is the BEST there was and the BEST every could be. He is the Legend. I wish i was trained by Lee so that i would have known all other secrets of fighting" and had a lot of lee's posters stuck all his house. Lee's idea, speed, reflex, elegance and style has no match in this world. He was so talented that GOD wanted back to him at a very early age.
Jaa is amazing i accept, but cant be compared to Lee or chan. Jaa has very flexible body and does flying combat but no match to lee's power. Have you seen lee's "1 inch punch demonstration"? If NOT see it to feel lee's true power. Imagine, lee is killed by imposters because they knew he will become the world's best fighter in future very soon. if a guy is killed fearing his talents would rule the world, then imagine what a kind of amazing guy he should be.if you note and test carefully, Jaa's many kicks and punches will look eye catching since he does it with some jumps and fly's, but they are not really painful or powerful as some of his powers are taken away by the jumps he make. Wheras Lee's does not strain himself and concentrates on delivering power in 1 shot to make the opponent go flat.
Anyway, each and everyone is best during their period or era. Let there be no comparison made against each star as every one is descendant of their prior star and all are doing their best in the industry.

First of all, There is nothing new Jaa does. We have already seen a lot more better than this in chan's movies ages ago. If he is real brave fighter why should he run and jump when he is opposed by a group of gangsters. Lee does not do this monkey kind of things. he stands eye to eye and knock them all. Why simply strain by jumping and flying? May be its a good exercise to get a job in Zoo with other animals.

Tony Jaa is better because Bruce is just dust and bones-GET OVER IT.

I am a martial artist myself. I study a syle called American Vadha Kempo (look it upon line). Anyway, from a martieal artists point of view, Tony Jaa is exactly what martial art films are missing today. I watch your movies and analyze the techniques. I think the only word to describe your abilities is phenomanal. I love your messages as well. I compare you to Bruce Lee as well. But I know every individual is different. I love the way you're shedding light on the actual techniques of Muy Thai Boxing. Keep doing what your doing Tony. You are building a legacy in my book.

TONY JAA IS THE NEW KUNG FU SANSATION, TOTALLY AWSOM,INCREDIBLE HIGHLY SKILLED, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY GOOD MUY THAI MOVIES BY ANY ACTOR AND I THING TONY JAA IS WHAT THAI LAND,AND WORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR .TO TONY JAA KEEP SHOWING THE WORLD A NEW BREED OF MARTIAL ARTS HAS BEEN BORN

» Posted by moosa sahabodien at May 25, 2007 04:56 AM

TONY JAA AND HIS MASTER PANNA RITTIKRAI ARE THE BEST MUAY THAI ATRISTS I HAVE EVER SEEN. TONY'S MOVES ARE FLAWLESS AND WE WILL BE SEEING MORE OF HIM. ONG BAK 2 WILL BE COMING OUT AT THE END OF THIS YEAR. THIS MOVIE IS GONNA BE EXCELLENT.

» Posted by Tony Jaa's Girl at May 31, 2007 04:05 PM

I HAVE TO SAY THAT NOBODY CAN SAY THAT BRUCE LEE IS BETTER THAN TONY JAA OR TONY JAA IS BETTER THAN BRUCE LEE. THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING TONY JAA DOES MUAY THAI, MUAY BORAN, AND KRABI KRABONG, BRUCE LEE DID JEET KUNE DO. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN SAY THAT ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER IS BY SEEING THEM FIGHT AND THATS NOT GONNA HAPPEN. BRUCE LEE WAS THE NASTIEST IN HIS TIME BUT THIS IS 2007 NOT 1973 THERE ARE MANY GREAT MARTIAL ARTIST OUT NOW A DAYS AND THE ONLY WAY OF KNOWING WHO THE BEST IS, IS BY SEEING THEM FIGHT ( NOT IN THE MOVIES ) IN REAL LIFE.

» Posted by Darcy at May 31, 2007 04:15 PM

MOOSA SAHABODIEN TONY JAA IS NOT SHOWING THE WORLD A NEW BREED OF MARTIAL ARTS. MUAY THAI HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE MEDIEVAL TIMES. TONY JAA JUST BROUGHT IT OUT FOR EVERYONE TO SEE. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY NAK MUAY (MUAY THAI FIGHTERS) AND KRU OR AJARN ( INSTRUCTORS OR MASTERS) THAT NOBODY HAS HEARD OF.

» Posted by Tony Jaa's Girl at May 31, 2007 04:28 PM

thank god for sending a new hero tonyjaa today. jaa is the best and ever actor in the world. he use everything for human body to fight an animes, not just like other actors that use computer for their movie--that look so stupic. I think no one will compare they style fighting to Jaa. Jackie chan maybe the one that match for Jaa in the movie-- not jet li, van damn, tom criuse, steven seagal, bruce lee, bruce willi, and no one in the world would be. Jaa you are the bomb. Keep making more movie, the world are waiting for you.
