Henry Selick's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Coraline goes ahead

(Posted In Animation Film News USA and Canada )

book-coraline.jpgWord over at DreadCentral is that the adpatation of Neil Gaiman's book Coraline got the funding it needed to go ahead with production of a stop motion/CGI film.

Henry Selick [Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou] is still set to direct which is just awesome.

The funding for the project has been provided by Laika Entertainment who have posted a very cool and small clip of Selick's animated short, Moongirl. If you're not familiar with the mans work you should really check this out!

That's "GaimAn". :-/ Might be useful in future searches, otherwise I'm just a spelling and grammar nazi.
